About Me

I didn’t grow up with a full palette. My paintings began with the basics — red, yellow, blue, black, and white. That was all my mother gave me, and that was all I needed. Whether it was watercolor, gouache, acrylic, or oil, I learned early on that if I wanted a color, I had to create it myself. 🎨

So I mixed. I experimented. I failed and tried again. Over time, I began to understand color not just as pigment, but as emotion, memory, and instinct. I didn’t just learn how to mix paints — I learned how to see. 🪄

But if you ask when it all truly started — my father might tell you it was at a holiday resort in 2004. I was three or four years old, sitting at the bar, asking the bartender for a napkin and a pen. I began drawing. It was just a simple sketch — probably a stick figure — but something about it stood out. 📝

My work is often inspired by nature in its broadest sense — animals, oceans, the night sky, outer space. 🌊 I create using ceramics, acrylics, digital tools, ink, and anything else I feel drawn to. I love using my hands. I often ditch the brush and use whatever I can reach. I even wipe my brushes on my clothes instead of using cloth. It’s messy — and I love that. 🖐️

I don’t like leaving anything behind. If there’s paint left on the palette, I use it. If there's extra clay, I mold it into something new. Art, for me, is a cycle of creation, reuse, and exploration. ♻️

I studied architecture at Özyeğin University, and I now live and work in Istanbul. This website is both a portfolio and a personal space — a place where I can share what I make, tell my story, and hopefully connect with others who feel something in what I do. 💫

If I had to describe my work in three words? Varied. Harmonious. Curious. 🌱
